Record Review: The Pandemics – Brain on Tap

It’s been a while since Ska was on the scene in music, but The Pandemics prove that not all is lost. A full-fledged eight-piece band, they bring back the 1990’s sound with a New York edge. As a blend of jaunty guitar and piano work, with real dedication to the horns and East coast attitude in their lyrics, I find myself flowing along to their music as early as the first few chords.

O’Death Rocks! At Least, I Think So… by Joseph

While on leave from Iraq—just putzing about with my brother, sharing a few beers and watching New York Noise (a local music program)—a video for a unknown band started to play. The band: O’Death. I hope you guys enjoy reading this at much as I did doing it. Enjoy!

Listening to Life: New York Comic Con 2011 and Arkham City Panel

I had the pleasure of going to NYCC 2011. It was from October 13th through the 16th. This event had a soundtrack all its own. There is the obvious music of the video games being featured– like Just Dance 3 and Dance Central 2, which succeed or fail purely based on if the soundtrack is varied enough for dance fans of all kinds to enjoy.
